2011 NIX TORONTO TATT CONVENTION @ THE HILTON

June 30th, 2011

I know this post is a week and a half late, but its finally here.

2 weekends ago was the NIX Toronto Tatt Convention at the Toronto Hilton. We had the honor of tattooing alongside some of the finest artists from North America, Taiwan, Japan, Australia and Europe.

Although our booth location kind of sucked this year, I was still glad to see how many people attended this year, especially people who werent heavily tatted or tatted at all. Its good to see a greater level of social acceptance.

Times are still changing.

Shout outs to the big homie, Ryan Miranda for winning the “Best Tattoo of the Day” award with that ill portrait. We’re all very proud of you homie. Keep on pushing. You’re a legend in the making.

I also wanted to give a special shout outs to the good folks at RedN9ne Tattoo Company and Chronic Ink Tattoos. Make sure you guys google them and check them out too.

Trust me, Ive had just about everyone on my case about the new shop and when its opening.

We finally have a date, and its actually going to happen this time!

I know we’re Canadian, but we’re going to do it on July 4th! Burgers and brew…or crackers, cheese and wine? Spring rolls and tea?  lol.

I dont know what we’re eating yet, but we’ll definitely have some good chill summer music and good people all around to feed your social appetite. All you gotta do is show up and enjoy yourselves.

UFC 129 FAN EXPO @ THE DIRECT ENERGY CENTER, TORONTO

May 4th, 2011

As most of you already know, Toronto hosted UFC’s largest event ever this past weekend in Toronto with a sold out arena of 55,000 inside the Rogers Center aka the Skydome for all of us born in the 80′s.

I didnt get to watch the fight from inside the stadium but I did get to watch it with Brock, Tyson, Lo, Future and the ever so awesome, Julie @ the Real Sports Bar where we enjoyed unlimited Molson M beers, unlimited wings, sliders, pulled pork sandwiches and of course unlimited TVs!!!

I dont know about y’all, but I wasnt really feeling the GSP/Shields fight. The Aldo/ Hominick fight should have been the main card. That shit was both entertaining as shit and gruesome! *cringes. If you saw the fight, than you know what Im talking about. lol.

But before Saturday night’s big bouts, the shop (P&P) and I ran a tattoo booth at the UFC Fan Expo alongside the good people at Bad Boy and Jaco MMA clothing on the Friday and Sat. Shout outs to Sarah Habiba and Jay by the way.

I mean, I always expect hardcore fans at expos but Ive never seen grown ass, deezed, juice monkey male groupies before. lol. Its hilarious to see them budding in line, fighting for photo ops and  acting all giddy for girls in booty shorts and some of the most dangerous men on Earth. I always imagine the fans shaking hands with one of the fighters and them getting put into an arm bar or some sort of submission hold. lol.

Over a months worth of hard work and planning went into the two day expo, but it was all worth it.

Once again, shouts outs to Sarah and Jay. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of it all. Of course thanks to the good people of Bad Boy and Jaco MMA clothing as well. Shout outs to the promo models as well, it was an extreme pleasure.

Shout outs to my shop – Adam, Kelly and Ryan who worked hard throughout the weekend and to the rest of the crew at the shop, especially Clay who helped with all the behind the scenes work.

Shouts to Cam, Jackie, Corey and Andre for being such amazing clients and letting us tatt them at the expo.

Special shout outs to Julie and Vicky for the company on Saturday as well. :)

FAMILY REUNION POSTPONED!!!

May 4th, 2011

We are sad to inform you that we are postponing the grand opening of the new P&P Flagship Studio in Liberty Village until further notice.

Im going to make a confession. We’ve kept you in the dark about a lot and its about time you know the truth. The guys would probably be really mad if they knew I was telling you this.

Sigh.

Here goes.

The reason why we’ve been having to push back the dates so often is because….*gulps

…is because w-….

*buzzing and scrambling noises
